Intro to Rally Obedience
-
Rally Obedience is a team sport similar to agility in that the handler guides the dog through a course. The difference is that the course is made of different signs that indicate obedience-like skills the team must perform before going on to the next sign. The team attempts to correctly complete all the signs in a specific order in the quickest time. Skills on the signs include things like sit, down, stay, and heeling.
In this class, you and your dog will learn: -
How to read AKC and UKC Rally signs
-
How to engage your dogs hind quarters separately from their front
-
How to prepare for a Rally Trial
-
How to run through an entire Rally course
BOARD & TRAIN
A board and train is a program where your dog will stay at our dog training facility located in Richmond, KY. They receive several daily training sessions, plenty of physical and mental stimulation, and will learn the skills needed to be a well-behaved dog! This is by far our most popular program due to the stress it relieves on the owner (YOU!). Instead of you having to put in all of the time to train your dog in-between private lessons or day training, we do the training for you.
What makes our Board & Train programs so different?
As dog lovers first, we completely understand how hard it can be to be away from your dog for an extended amount of time which is why we have COMPLETELY REDONE how our Board & Train program operates:
- Instead of being away from your dog for 2-4 weeks at a time, our programs are Monday-Friday.
- You will receive updates during the week with your dogs progress with pictures and videos so you can follow along!
- Each Friday, you will come in for a private lesson to go over exactly what your dog learned that week.
- Your dog gets to go home with you for the weekend so you can spend time with them and practice what you both learned!
We have seen A HUGE improvement with owners being more involved in their dogs’ training and we are excited to be the first ones to offer this in Kentucky!

FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
We utilize Positive Reinforcement to shape all obedience commands.
Depending your and your dogs’ lifestyle, we may recommend a slip leash, prong collar and/or E-Collar. We pair any training tool we use with Positive Reinforcement so that your dog will learn that they aren’t bad things!
Typically, the first step is scheduling a consultation.
That way we can meet in person, I can evaluate your dog, we can talk about the different programs that we offer and figure out which one would be best!
To schedule a consultation, you can either send us an email or download our app and request an appointment!
That all depends on your lifestyle and any problems you may be having with your pup. A consultation is always recommended first to determine which program would fit you and your dog the best!
However, for E-Collar Conditioning and any dogs exhibiting reactivity or aggressive behavior, we only offer Board & Train programs.
We typically do not do in home lessons. We believe it is extremely important to shape all new behaviors in a very sterile environment free from stressors and distractions. Once they move through their program, we have the ability to control the amount of distractions they are exposed to, to ensure that we can go at their own pace.
But there are exceptions to everything! If we find ourself moving through the program and seeing that we are not able to resolve the specific issue you are having at home, we can then add an in home session.
Absolutely! As dog owners first, we completely understand the bond you have with your pup and we re-invented how our programs operate.
Our programs are Monday-Friday so you will drop your dog off to us on Monday morning and then on Friday we will have a lesson to go over exactly what your dog learned that week then they get to go home with you!
Unfortunately, we cannot offer multi-dog discounts on our training programs. Successful training for a multi-dog household is actually significantly more work than training for just one dog. Not only do we need to train them to work individually, but we also need to ensure they know how to work together as a unit adding a lot more steps to the process.
YES!
We want to help you as much as possible so we will accept payments towards any of our programs.
Every day!
We are big believers in “dogs help dogs”.
First, we will do a temperament test with our demo dog, Reko. After that we will determine if your dog will play with just us humans, or be gradually introduced into a play group. Since we are a smaller facility, we are able to completely individualize each dogs’ day to day routine to make sure they are comfortable and having fun!
We specialize in working with the most challenging dogs out there. If your dog is biting other people or dogs, we can absolutely still help them. We implement very strict protocols with any aggressive dog that we work with to ensure that your dog, as well as our staff and other dogs, stay as safe as absolutely possible. For more severe cases, we may require that you muzzle your dog before bringing them in for additional safety.
